The International Conference on Computer & Information Sciences (ICCOINS) 2016 is organized by the Department of Computer and Information Sciences Department of Universiti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) and technically co-sponsored by IEEE Malaysia Computational Intelligence Society (CIS) Chapter was held from 15-17 August 2016 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) with the theme “Nurturing the Power of Mind for Technology Innovation”. This conference is part part of the Engineering, Science and Technology Congress (ESTCON) 2016.
The conference aims at providing a platform for academia and industry to showcase their new advancement and findings in research and development in Computer Science, Information Technology and Information System. The conference also provides great opportunities for participants to exchange new ideas and experiences as well as to establish research and business relations with global partners for future collaborations.
There are 130 papers have been accepted for presentation in four different tracks of technical session during the three-day conference namely: Information Systems, Data Communication & Network Systems, Computational Intelligence and Software Engineering.
The conference also invited three plenary speakers to share their expertise and new research findings during the conference namely Prof. Dr. Angappa Gunasekaran, from Charlton College of Business from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth (USA) who has given a talk on “Big Data Analytics in Logistics and Supply Chain Management: Certain Investigations for Research and Applications”; Mr Marcos Bonfim de Azevedo, Data & Analytics Manager for Global Shared Services, Schlumberger Oilfield Services who give talk on “Enterprise Data & Analytics – The Hype and The Demand” and finally, Dr. Daniel Dahlmeier, the lead researcher from SAP Research and Innovation, Singapore, who give a talk on “Intelligent Business Applications, Leveraging Machine Learning and AI for the Enterprise”.
